In Residence at Adamant Music School, Adamant Vermont
||: Eat. Sleep. Practice :|| Perform
Piano Works In Progress Vermont takes up residence in the village of Adamant, just seven miles outside of Montpelier, the capital city of Vermont. Adamant is home to the Adamant Music School, a piano school with a thriving summer program. Piano Works In Progress immerses itself in Adamant piano culture in late summer and invites the pianist to focus on music in an atmosphere free of distraction and stress.
The Adamant Music School is a pianist’s haven. More than a dozen individual practice studios, each containing two grand pianos, are scattered among the gardens, trees and near ponds. Pianists have the opportunity to change studios often, playing different pianos such as Steinway, Mason Hamlin and Baldwin. There is ample time to practice every day as the studios are always open.
Participants stay in one of three quaint buildings that house private bedrooms and shared bathrooms. Three meals a day are lovingly prepared, featuring Vermont’s regional ingredients sourced from local farms, fields and woods. The dining room is in the main house, Barney Hall, which has more bedrooms and a piano studio. Accommodations may be made for a guest to share your room. There is wifi in Barney Hall.
At Piano Works In Progress Vermont, not only will you be able to work on music without distraction, you will take in the gentle countryside that is pure Vermont. Give yourself the time and attention that you are always giving to others.
